Raiders' Darren Waller Signs Lucrative Contract Extension
Las Vegas tight end becomes highest-paid player at his position
Waller inks a three-year, $51 million extension with $22 million guaranteed
The Las Vegas Raiders and star tight end Darren Waller have agreed to a three-year, $51 million contract extension, making Waller the highest-paid player at his position in the NFL. The deal includes an $8.25 million signing bonus and $22 million guaranteed.
Waller, 29, has established himself as one of the most dynamic and productive tight ends in the league since joining the Raiders in 2019. He has amassed 2,219 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns in 47 regular-season games with Las Vegas.
The Raiders are hoping that Waller's presence will continue to bolster their offense, which ranked ninth in the NFL in scoring last season. With Waller, Davante Adams, Josh Jacobs, and Hunter Renfrow, Las Vegas has one of the most formidable offensive arsenals in the league.
